Overall rating: ★★★☆☆ (3.5/5)
Good for: regular GPs in Harley Street, corporate and international patients.
Not ideal for: patients who value smooth digital booking, weekend availability, or transparent pricing.
👨⚕️ Doctor’s Opinion
Almost £300 for a 30-minute GP consult. At this level, you would expect flawless booking, smooth online systems, and full transparency, but that is not what you get here. The clinic looks premium, but the website is cluttered, the booking process clunky, and the pricing opaque. Health screens in particular come with eye-watering mark-ups once you break down what is actually included.
This is a service that positions itself at the top end of private healthcare, but the digital experience does not match the fees. If you have money to spend and want a long-term relationship with a Harley Street doctor, this practice will deliver. If you have a new symptom and need a GP today, there are better, faster, and cheaper options elsewhere. I’m not sure I’d choose this service based purely on price and what you actually seemingly get .
⭐ Quality of Doctors & Staff — ★★★★☆ (4/5)
The clinic emphasises its Harley Street pedigree and senior doctors, but surprisingly, clear GP bios are difficult to find on the website. That makes it harder for patients to check backgrounds, GMC registration, or special interests upfront. In person, the clinicians are experienced and professional, but the lack of easy-to-access staff profiles reduces transparency.
⭐ Range of Services — ★★★★☆ (4/5)
They offer same-day GP, urgent home visits, travel medicine, screening, sexual health, corporate care, and onward specialist referrals. It is comprehensive, but there is no weekend service which is unusual for a premium-priced clinic. Pathways are generally well defined, but some newer providers give a broader digital GP offer alongside in-clinic access.
⭐ Transparency & Pricing — ★★☆☆☆ (2/5)
This is the weakest area. Consultations are expensive, starting from £295 for 30 minutes, and there are extra charges for repeat prescriptions. Health screen packages are clearly itemised, but they are significantly more expensive than comparable clinics in London and it is not obvious what the extra value is. Blood test costs are not transparent, you often need to ask, and quotes vary. For weight-loss services, consultation fees are high and medication costs are not included or even mentioned. Patients risk bill shock if they do not clarify upfront.
⭐ Facilities & Technology — ★★★☆☆ (3/5)
The Harley Street setting feels premium and discreet, but the website is difficult to navigate, with information scattered across multiple sections that appear written more for SEO than user experience. There is no online booking for weekends or evenings. Appointments often require phoning the clinic, which feels outdated. There is no patient portal for results or messaging, so everything is still handled by phone or email.
⭐ Accessibility & Convenience — ★★★☆☆ (3/5)
When we tested the online booking system, we could not secure a weekend slot. The service is unavailable outside weekdays. Even during the week, appointments appear in scattered, random times rather than offering a smooth, on-demand booking flow. The clinic encourages patients to call, but in 2025 many prefer digital booking and dislike making phone calls for something as simple as a GP appointment. Same-day access is possible in theory, but only if you are flexible with timing and willing to pick up the phone.
⭐ Patient Experience — ★★★★☆ (4/5)
Patients describe the consultations as professional, with good explanations and follow-up. Safety-netting is usually included, but aftercare is phone or email only, with no modern app integration. While the clinical experience is strong, the administrative friction such as navigation, booking, and pricing clarity leaves some patients less satisfied.
⭐ Trust & Regulation — ★★★★★ (5/5)
CQC registered and rated Good. Governance appears solid, with safeguarding and duty of candour statements in place. Clinical safety is not in question here. The issues lie in user experience and pricing.

🩺 Verdict
The London General Practice provides experienced doctors in a Harley Street setting, but it does not deliver the seamless, on-demand access that many private patients now expect. Online booking is limited, with no weekend options and scattered weekday availability. Patients are often pushed to call the clinic, a dated process compared with newer digital-first providers. Combined with premium fees and patchy pricing transparency, the service can feel less convenient than the branding suggests.
